Horse Show

A few weekends ago I went to New York to watch my brother show. I took a few pictures while there and am just now getting around to uploading them to the blog to share!

The restaurant catering the VIP tent is known for their macaroons. They were absolutely amazing! The best macaroons I have ever had-and probably ever will have… In fact all of the food was delicious. They are opening their first restaurant in the United States- New York of course.

Now for the actual show…

These two pictures above are not of my brother (if that wasn’t obvious) Just two quick snapshots! Now for Matt-

Matt and his favorite horse, Pie. He is such a cutie and a good boy (Pie, that is…)

So I’m not a professional photographer but not too bad for an amateur. Matt did a great job at the show! Cannot wait to go and see him show again soon!

Oh, one last thing, while at the show I spotted a really cute idea for a sunhat….

Loved how she added a silk scarf to her sunhat to give it color and make it personal.

Spartina 449

While on Nantucket a few weekends ago, I purchased a coin purse. It is beyond adorable! It is the Sailor’s Watch Island Coin Purse. It is by a company called Spartina 449. I haven’t been using it for coins though- I have been putting things I normally have trouble finding in my purse in it. Basically my lipgloss, business cards and maybe jewelry if I take it off during the day. Here is mine with a few close up shots…

It is more spacious than I thought when I purchased it.

 

They have 17 prints and different styles of bags, wallets, etc. in each. This is my favorite print but there are a few others I have my eye on. They really have a wide variety of products so be sure to check them out!

Bow Tie Finds

While browsing Etsy for other great handmade items I came across a company called CCADesign. The owner of the shop, Caroline, began making her handmade bow ties when her son was a Junior at UNC Chapel Hill (he just graduated- Congrats!). She makes them all herself and gets her fabrics from all over the place.

 

I have looked through her entire collection a few times and had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to only 5 favorites. I was clearly bias to the Lilly Pulitzer bow ties…

Fab Finds: pink nicknacks

I find that some of my favorite things are the small everyday nicknacks. Here are four fab finds that I came across today while browsing.

1.

 

These two Pink Bags are completely adorable. They cane be personalized and have either a bikini or flop flop on them. They are great for keeping your beach wear safe and tangle free.

2. 

This is the Jonathan Adler Gothic Rose iPhone 4 case. This case is super fun and I love the pink and orange color.

 

3. 

This hot pink luggage tag is such a great color and would really stick out when trying to figure out which bag is yours!

Jonathan Adler on Happy Chic Colors is a book about styling and decoration. I think it would be fantastic for someone redecorating a chic home or a fun apartment.

Jonathan Adler iPad Case

About a week ago I won a Jonathan Adler iPad case from Lifeguard Press. The case is beyond adorable. It holds the iPad in with four elastic bands in each corner. It also features a mesh pocket to hold headphones. For me that is my favorite part- I always misplace mine so hopefully that won’t happen as much anymore! Here is what it looks like:

Sperry & Milly

I purchased a pair of the Milly for Sperry boat shoes and positively love them! As my mom said, they are by far the cutest boat shoes! Here are a few up close and personal pictures so you can get a better look at them.

How cute is the print?! I am really into printed shoes and having these on my feet makes my day that much more fun!

I did a little research and there are a few places you can still get these beauties…

Nordstrom and Bloomingdales had the best selection for sizes still available (as well as the best price).

Milly for Sperry also did a coral color in the same material as these. I nearly bought them but at the last minute went for the print! The coral in particular would go great with a pair of tan legs (something I am lacking right now…)

Would you do print or coral (its a tough decision)…
